Composition

Each ml contains:
Vitamin E 50 mg
Selenium (selenite) 0.5 mg

Mechanism of Action:

Vitamin E as an antioxidant protects and prevents unsaturated fatty acids from oxidation by  stopping formation process of free radicals and peroxides. Also this vitamin affects ATP synthesis, metabolism of energy, potency of fertility and body immunity. Selenium has antioxidant properties and takes part in composition of glutathione peroxidase enzyme that is resulted in peroxides elimination and then reduction of free radicals formation.

Vitamin E is quickly absorbed after injection and is stored in body tissues via digestive system. The most amount of vitamin E is stored in liver. This vitamin is excreted slowly like as other fat soluble vitamins.

Indications of use

Prevention and treatment of symptoms caused by vitamin E and selenium deficiency such as muscular dystrophy (white muscle disease), reduction of resistance to infectious agents and reproductive failures like infertility and retained placenta.

Dosage and route of administration

Prevention: It is effective for preventing incidence of white muscle disease during four weeks after birth. For this purpose, usage of the product is advised as follows:

Sheep: 10 ml

Cattle: 30 ml through subcutaneous or intramuscular route, four weeks before parturition.

Lamb and calf: 0.1 ml per kg body weight

Cattle: 0.1-0.15 ml per kg body weight

Treatment:

Lamb: 1-2 ml, Sheep: 5 ml, Calf: 10 ml, Cattle: 30 ml

Injection intervals: Once every 2-4 weeks.

This drug should be injected IM or SC.

Withdrawal Time

Meat:

Cattle: 30 days

Sheep: 14 days

Calf: 20 days

Precautions

Must not be used in human but if it is occurred, seek medical advice immediately.

Overdosing leads to poisoning.

Keep out of reach of children.

Storage conditions

Keep between 15- 25° C, away from light.
