Composition

Each Kg of the product contains 100 g Tiamulin hydrogen fumarate

Indications of use

It is used for mycoplasma infections in poultry.

Tiamulin hydrogen fumarate is effective on gram positive bacteria (Streptococcus and Staphylococcus species), some gram-negative bacteria (Campylobacter, Pasteurella multocida and Haemophilus), anaerobic bacteria (Clostridium perfringens), Spirochetes and mycoplasmas (Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma synoviae).

Dosage and route of administration

1) Treatment of CRD and infectious synovitis: According to the age and bird species, Tiamulin is advised 25-50 mg/kg of live bodyweight for 3 to 5 consecutive days.

This dosage can be obtained through mixing of the product with feed to make 500 ppm of Tiamulin (5 kg of Tia Guard in one metric ton of feed).

2) CRD control in broilers: About 3 mg/kg body weight must be used daily in high risk periods (first to fifth weeks of age).

Recommended dose is 30 ppm Tiamulin in the feed (0.3 kg of Tia Guard in one metric ton of feed).

3) CRD control in breeders and layers and production improvement: About 3 mg/kg body weight is advised daily for one week per month during laying period. Recommended dose is 50 ppm Tiamulin in the feed (0.5 kg of Tia Guard in one metric ton of feed).

Contraindication:

It must not be used with other ionophores such as Monencin, Salinomycin, Maduramycin and Naracin simultaneously.

Attention:

Tiamulin with two ionophores called lasalocid (Avatec) and semduramycin is compatible and can be used concurrently.
