This solution is a powerful and broad many spectrum disinfectant  that is effective against many types of  microorganisms like as gram positive and  gram negative bacteria, growing shapes of bacteria, viruses, fungi and molds. Without dilution it could be used for

disinfection of wounds, scratches, lesions, superficial burns, outside disinfection of udder and surgical sites before and after surgery. Povidone iodine as diluted  is suitable for disinfection of livestock and poultry house, equipment and cages and milking equipment. It has a broad spectrum microbiocidal effect and long -term effects beside of  protein and organic material, and dust.

According to instruction, it will be used for disinfection of wounds, burns, incisions, scratches, poultry and livestock equipment.

1) It is used without dilution and directly for wound, scratches and incisions disinfection.

2) For disinfection of  clinical, hospital, poultry and livestock  equipments use 2.5% dilution (25 ml in 1 liter water) for 20 minutes and rinse with clean water.

3) Use this solution as spray for disinfection

of incubation, poultry and livestock  areas use 10% dilution (100 ml in 1 liter water)

4) For washing  teat of cattle before milking: After cleaning the teat, washing before milking it is used 1 to10 ratio and for teat dip it is 1 to 4.

Keep in dry place between 8 -15° C and away from sun light.

Avoid using with Insecticides, Chemicals and Alkaline materials simultaneously.

Keep out of reach of children. Away from eye contact and mucosal membranes and wash them with plenty of  water if contacted.

Do not use for deep and wide wounds.

Avoid inhalation of  this solution steam because of  risk of bronchitis and other pulmonary complications. Do not dilute with over 40 degrees Celsius water. If it is eaten, it could possible to use  Sodium metabisulfite 1% to convert iodine to iodide but  treatment is symptomatic and there is not any antidote.
