Product properties

Composition

Each Kg Qilucoxid® contains:

5 grams Diclazuril.

Mechanism of Action:

Qilucoxid® is a chemical coccidiostat that acts on sexual and asexual life cycle of coccidia and kills them. Qilucoxid® disrupts the cell wall structure of oocysts and interferes with life cycle of parasite, reducing oocyst production. This drug compared to other coccidiostats regarding method of action, has some advantages, as follows:

1- Qilucoxid® has the ability of preventing sporulation of produced oocysts. So during its use some unsporulated oocysts are produced and excreted. Existence of these oocysts at low levels in flock stimulates immune system of poultry against coccidia.

2 – Qilucoxid® has the highest tissue distribution rate in intestinal mucosa.

It can be used in poultry, turkeys and even layers and breeders and has very low toxicity so that using even 5 times its therapeutic dose in layers and up to 25 times in broilers has no negative effect.

3-Qilucoxid® gives more growth and better feed conversion rate. This is because it can eliminate all Eimerias resistant to other drugs and control coccidiosis in flocks.

Indications of use

Prevention and control of coccidiosis due to E. meleagridis, E. gallopavonis, E. adenoides, E. mitis, E. tenella, E. necatrix, E. brunetti, E. acervulina, in broilers and growing turkeys.

Dosage and route of administration

1 – Broilers: 200 grams Qilucoxid® per ton of feed from day old to five days before slaughter.

2 -Replacement pullets: 200 grams per ton of feed from day old to 7 days before start of laying period.

3 -Turkeys: 200 grams per ton of feed from day old to maximum 14 weeks. It should be properly mixed with feed. This will give a concentration of 1 ppm in feed. It has no negative effect on egg production and hatchability even at 5 times its therapeutic dose.

For better result, mix Qilucoxid® first with 20-50 kilograms of feed thoroughly, and then add it to main volume of feed and mix properly again.

Storage conditions

Keep under 25° C and dry place. Away from light.

Withdrawal Time

5 days

Drug interactions:

Due to molecular similarity with Toltrazuril and in order to prevent cross resistance, these two drugs should not be used simultaneously in one farm.

Precautions

Keep out of reach of children. Wear Protective clothes like gloves and masks during mix. Do not use Qilucoxid® during sudden outbreaks of disease. As so far no resistance has been reported to Diclazuril and in order to prevent resistance it is recommended to replace it with another type of coccidiostat after one or two periods of Qilucoxid® use.
