Composition
Each liter of solution contains:
100 g of Florfenicol
Mechanism of Action:
Fluorfen Rooyan® is a broad-spectrum synthetic antibiotic which kills bacteria by stopping bacterial protein synthesis through inhibiting Peptidyl Transferase enzyme function in bacterial ribosomes.
Indications of use
Treatment of infections due to gram negative and gram positive bacteria including Streptococcus spp, Staphylococcus spp, Clostridium spp, Escherichia coli, Pasteurella multocida and Salmonella typhimurium.
Dosage and route of administration
20mg Florfenicol/kg bodyweight/day by oral route, in drinking water for 3-5 days. Each liter of Fluorfen Rooyan® should be added to 1000 liters of water. The medicated water should be prepared each day and used during the same day. Any other water supply should not be at bird disposal during this period.
Contraindications
To avoid drug residue in eggs, do not use during laying period in laying hens.
Withdrawal Time
5 days before slaughter.
Drug interactions:
Avoid using Fluorfen Rooyan® with other antibiotics specially macrolides (eg. Lincomycin) and Clindamycin.

Keep out of reach of children.
Storage conditions
Keep in cool place, Store between10-25°c. Protect from direct light, in closed containers.
