Each ml contains 100 mg Erythromycin
Erythromycin is a macrolide and bacteriostatic antibiotic that reversibly binds to 50s
subunit of the ribosome and inhibits the protein synthesis and bacterial growth.
It is effective against gram positive cocci (staphylococcus and streptococcus, corynebacterium and listeria ), some heamophilus sp, pasteurella, brucella, ricketsia, treponema and mycoplasma.
Ecoli and Pseudomonas are resistant to this drug.
It is resorbed quickly and reaches maximum concentration in the blood in 1-2 hours and acts against erythromycin sensitive bacteria with effective concentration rapidly.
Erythromycin injectable solution is used for treatment of diseases caused by erythromycin sensitive bacteria.
Cattle: Treatment of respiratory disease(shipping fever, Pasteurellosis), pneumoenteritis complex, metritis, foot rot, subclinical and clinical mastitis.
sheep: Prevention of dysentery in new born lambs.
Treatment of upper respiratory diseases and agalactia.

In animals weighing over 90kg, the neck region is the preferred site for deep intramuscular injection. No more than 10 ml should be injected at one site (in small calves under 90 kg, no more than
4 ml should be injected per site and then only in the heavy muscles of the leg).
Swelling or soreness encountered at the site of injection is usually mild, transient and disappears in 2 to 4 days. Deep intramuscular injections will minimize the incidence of local soreness and swelling.
