Fosomix®

Fosomix® is an unique antibiotic that is produced only for veterinary use. Fosomix® contains 25% calcium Fosfomycin that is derived from phosphonic acid and as a broad spectrum antibiotic acts against gram positive and gram negative bacteria.

Fosfomycin does not belong to common groups of antibiotics and has smallest molecule among known antibiotics.

Fosfomycin is a bactericidal antibiotic that prevents bacterial cell synthesis.

Fructose in this product increases Fosfomycin effect up to 6-10 times, makes bacterial resistance impossible and as a natural energizer improves food digestion and absorption and increases weight gain.

Vitamin E in this product enhances body resistance to diseases.

In infectious diseases there are some symptoms such as fever, diarrhea and cardiac stress. Electrolytes in this compound provide rehydration and controls stress.

In broilers, breeders and turkeys as first choice for prevention and treatment of diseases such as Colibacillosis, Omphalitis, Salmonellosis, Infectious coryza, Pasteurellosis, Listeriosis and Staphylococcal arthritis.

Most sensitive bacteria to Fosomix®: E.coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella, Citrobacter, Enterococcus, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Pseudomonas, Clostridium, Vibrio, Aeromonas, Mycobacterium, Haemophilus, Klebsiella, Shigella, Enterobacter, Serratia and Ornithobacterium.

Therapeutic dose: 160 mg per kg per day Fosomix® for 3-5 days continuously.

Preventive dose: 80 mg per kg per day Fosomix® for 5-10 days continuously.

Route of dose calculation:

Therapeutic dose: Average body weight in the last day of therapy (Kg) × bird numbers × 0.16 = amount of Fosomix® in a day (g).

Preventive dose: Average body weight in the last day of therapy (Kg) × bird numbers × 0.08 = amount of Fosomix® in a day (g).

Route of adding drug to drinking water:

1) First solve amount of Fosomix® in a few liters of lukewarm water (25-35 degrees Celsius).

2) Define water consumption for early 6-8 hours and add Fosomix® to it.

3) After consumption of this water, add fresh and pure water to drinkers.

Keep Fosomix® below 25° C, away from high temperature and moisture.

As yet there are no reports of antagonist effects of this drug to other common veterinary drugs.

It is demonstrated that Fosomix® has suitable synergistic effects toward Erythromycin, Tylosin, Ampicillin, Gentamicin and Trimethoprim.

Keep out of reach of children.

7 days before slaughter.
