Closantel 5% Rooyan®

Each ml contains 50 mg closantel(as sodium dehydrate)

For the treatment and control of trematodes such as Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola gigantica and also parasitic infestations due to nematodes such as Haemonchus contortus and placei,Bunostomum and  Oesophagostomum. This  drug is also effective on some  arthropods parasitic larva such as Hypoderma bovis and lineatum,Oestrus ovis and Lucilia cuprina.

It should be administered by drenching gun.

1. Sheep:

A:10 mg per kg (1 ml per 5 kg) of body weight to eliminate the Fasciola hepatica and gigantica, Gaigeria pachyscelis, Chabertia ovina and Oesophagastomum columbinum.

B: 5 mg per kg (1ml per 10 kg)of body weight to eliminate Haemonchus contortus and Oestrus ovis.

C: 15 mg per kg of body weight (1 ml for per 3.3 kg of body weight) to eliminate Fascioloides magna and Lucilia cuprina.

2. Cattle and Calf:

A: 5 mg  per kg of body weight (3 ml per 30 kg of body weight)to eliminate Fasciola hepatica and gigantica,Haemonchus placei, Bunostomum phlebotomum and Oesophagostomum radiatum.

B: 10 mg per kg of body weight (3 ml per 15 kg)to eliminate Hypoderma bovis and lineatum.

Due to long half-life of closantel,animals  that has been treated with it, are protected from reinfestation with nematodes for several weeks.

Closanthel is well  tolerated, safety margin is six times than the therapeutic dose. Extensive studies conducted in connection with the reproductive system of male and female sheep and bulls no danger in this regard have shown. Also closantel does not  have any carcinogenic and teratogenic effect.

Meat and milk: 28 days.

Recommended  to use preferably in the dry period in sheep and cattle.

Prescription of this drug with the recommended dose, does not have  any side effect and can also consume in young pregnant, and disabled animals.

Keep out of reach of children.

To avoid any toxic reactions, do not use compounds containing chlorine(insecticides) simultaneously.

Shake well before use.
