Composition

Each g of Aprasol Rooyan® contains:

Apramycin (Sulfate) 500 mg

Mechanism of Action:

Apramycin belongs to aminoglycoside antibiotics and it binds to 30s subunit of ribosome irreversibly which prevents protein synthesis by bacteria, it has bactericidal effect. Following oral administration, it will be absorbed through gastrointestinal system and will be distributed in all of tissues, cavities and fluids rapidly.

Its activity depends on oxygen, therefore Apramycin has low effect on anaerobic bacteria.

Indications of use

Apramycin is effective on gram negative bacteria such as Bordetella bronchiseptica, E.coli, Vibrio coli, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas aeroginosa, Shigella, Salmonella and Proteus as well as some gram positive bacteria like Staphylococcus and Streptococcus.

It can be administered via oral route for gastro-intestinal and respiratory infections like colibacillosis and salmonellosis in poultry.

Dosage and route of administration

Poultry: 25 to 50 mg of pure Apramycin per kg of body weight or 50 to 100 mg of Aprasol Rooyan® per kg of body weight equal to 500 to 1000 g of the product (finished product 50%) in 1000 liters of drinking water for 7 days.

Storage conditions

Keep in dry place under 25° C and away from direct sun light.

Withdrawal Time

Poultry meat: 7 days

Contraindications

Do not use in laying hens producing table eggs.

Precautions

For better efficacy of the product, watering systems must be free of rustiness.
